Hasenhuttl turns down Hoffenheim
Pellegrino Matarazzo is set to be named as Hoffenheim’s new manager on Wednesday after Ralph Hasenhuttl turned down the chance to take over the struggling Bundesliga side.
Sky in Germany expect Matarazzo to take charge of training for the first time on Wednesday and be on the bench when they face Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
Matarazzo previously coached Hoffenheim’s reserve side and was first-team assistant manager to Julian Nagelsmann in 2018 and then Alfred Schreuder when he took over in 2019.
